The 97 & 98 Vipers recently participated in the North Shore Medical Center Cancer Walk on Sunday, June 21st, 2009.
The walk was a great experience for everyone involved as it gave us the opportunity to give back to a much greater cause. Nearly 80+ Vipers, family & friends showed up to support this cause!
All in all, they battled through some rainy weather but were able to raise over $4,700.00 to help benefit the NSMC.
A sincere THANK YOU to everyone whom took time out of their busy schedule to participate in this fun team building experience. And a big thanks to Coach Hentosh for helping coordinate the Vipers efforts for this event.

We highly recommend that all Vipers continue to skate at least once a week through out the off-season. Although, it is important that the kids get out and enjoy the summer, the Vipers program is based on continual development. The weekly camps allow a player to get on the ice once a week while retaining their comfort level on their skates. Kids that hang 'em up for the summer spend the first month of the season trying to regain that comfort on their skates and timing with the puck. Development is achieved through long term repetition of the core skills. So enjoy the beach, but get on the ice once a week!
Select Skills Hockey will be running the skating & skills programs once a week throughout the entire summer. Many Vipers enjoyed the camp last summer. The camp routinely sells out so reserve your spot now. Walk-ons are allowed only if attendance permits. A Flex-Pass can also be purchased which allows a player to attend 6 sessions of your choice and guarantees entrance when walk-ons are not allowed.

The 98Vipers will be participating in the North Shore Medical Center Cancer Walk on Sunday June 21, 2009. Proceeds from this years walk will directly benefit the expansion and relocation of the NSMC Cancer Center to the Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care in Danvers.
The 98Vipers is made up of young hockey players ages 10/ 11 who reside throughout the North Shore and Greater Boston area. To give our players a better understanding of the adversities in life that people are faced with and to keep in perspective that the game of hockey is just that..a game, we have decided to walk as a team in this year's event. We also have many families on our team who have been directly affected by this ferocious disease and we walk in support of them as well, just as we support our teammates on the ice.
We are reaching out to you so that you may help us reach our goal, as we Shoot For A Cure ! Please follow the link below to our Fundraising Page where you will find that donating is extremely quick and easy.
