02Elites Avoid Avalanche, 10-1

Saturday night the 02's faced the NH Avalanche.  The Vipers quickly got on the board with a goal right off the face off by Sean Robbins assisted by Alvarez-Segee and Haggerty.  The Vipers would rap up the first period with 2 more goals by Luke Sargent assisted by Caluatti and Corcoran and by Alvarez-Segee assisted by Worthley and Robbins.  The Vipers maintained control of the entire game allowing only one goal by the opponent.  Vipers would win 10 -1.  Remaining goals by Corcoran, Aylward, Maney, Robbins, Sargent, Worthley and Alvarez-Segee. 

 

 

02Vipers-Elite vs VJW Elite, 4-2

After facing a very strong Spartans team on Saturday, the 02 Vipers would verse a strong Warrior team. The game was scoreless at the end of the 1st period due to a great job by the defensive team. Going into the 2nd period Robbins got a pass from Alvarez-Segee to split the two defensemen, deak the goalie and stuff the puck home. Later in the period, Alvarez-Segee would get a pass from Wortheley to put it between the pipes making it 2-0 Vipers. The Warriors would come back agressively in the 3rd period to score 2 goals and also pull the goalie but this strong 02 Viper team would walk away with a win 4-2. Goals by Robbins, Alvarez-Segee, Sargent and Senier.
 

02Vipers vs Assabet Valley Patriots, 1-4

Sunday the Vipers would face a strong Assabet team. The game was back and forth but in the end, the Patriots would take the Vipers 4 -1. Only goal scored by Kory Ouellette assisted by Senier. Vipers lose 4-1.
 

02Vipers vs VJW, 6-3

Saturday the Vipers faced a fast paced Warrior team. The Vipers were the first to get on the board with a goal by Christian Calautti. The Warriors quickly came back with a goal to tie it 1-1. Going into the 2nd period the score was 2-1 Vipers. A few minutes into the period Campbell would take a pass from Robbins to put it into the net making it 3-1. The Warriors would not give up their tenacity and would go on to score another goal making it 4-2 Vipers at the end of the 2nd. End of the 3rd period the Warriors pulled their goalie in a last ditch effort to apply pressure but the Vipers would score on an empty net. The Vipers win 6-3. Hats of to the defensive team of Ouellette, Corcoran, Marshall, Haggerty, Krajeski and Calautti for digging in the corners and forcing the puck up the ice.
 

02Vipers-Elite Conquer Monarchs-Elite, 5-4

This past Saturday the 02's faced a strong NH Monarch team. Going into the 2nd period the Monarchs were up 3-0. The Vipers regrouped themselves and played strong postional hockey resulting in them scoring 2 goals in the 2nd period. Going into the 3rd period the score was 3-2 Monarchs. Campbell took a beautiful cross ice pass from Sargent to score tieing the game 3-3. The 02's would get another goal making it 4-3 Vipers but the Monarchs still staying strong scored tieing it again. Two minutes left in the 3rd period Alvarez-Segee passed the puck off to Perry where he put it past the Monarchs goalie making it 5-4 Vipers. The Monarchs kept the offensive pressure on but the defensive lines kept them at bay. In a nail biter of a game, the 02 Vipers gain the "W." Goals by Sargent, Worthley and Campbell.
