Ukraine Youth Hockey School

The Druzhba 78 Hockey Club and School of Ukraine and Coach Ivan Pravilov, Coach of the Ukraine National U-18 team will be back conducting schools throughout the United States again this summer.  Coach Pravilov and the Druzhba 78 Hockey School will be conducting an intensive skating school the week of August 3-7th at the Malden Valley Forum Ice Arena in Malden, MA.

Coach Pravilov will provide students with unique hockey training methods that have made his coaching philosophy in vast demand worldwide.  It is coach Pravilov's philosophy that hockey players' level of talent is directly related to their skating ability; therefore, the drills focus primarily on edgework and power skating. Coach Pravilov's skating training methods include special focus on the use of the outside edge as a means of developing quickness and lateral mobility.  It is truly a unique skating training methodology.

There will be 2 sessions for Mite - Midget age levels. The Mite - Squirts sessions will be 2 hours per day (10 hours) at a cost of $225.00. The Pee Wee - Midget sessions will be 3 hours per day (15 hours) at a cost of $325.00. This camp is designed for a small focused group of serious skaters and will be filled on a "first come first served" basis.             This is not a learn to skate school.  

This school will be an intensive skating training session incorporating the use of pucks and stick handling and is only for those players who are serious about improving their skating ability through rigorous and intense instruction.  The on-ice training will be conducted by Druzhba Coach, Ivan Pravilov, and players from his team.  Any net proceeds from this school will go to the Druzhba 78 Hockey Club and School to help defray their costs.

For those interested in a "cultural exchange" opportunity, there is also the possibility of hosting a Ukraine youth for the week.

Once availability is confirmed you will be required to provide a reference by your current or past coach. A check made payable to Vipers Ice Hockey will be needed to secure your position.
