In the first period the Vipers played a tight game with the Red Rangers. The Vipers’ defense and goal tending was solid and stopped any attempts by the Red Rangers to rush the net. The Vipers offense had some solid rushes to the net led by Luke Sargent, Harry Marshal and Nick Sasso. The score after one period was 0-0. The Vipers struck first in the second period with Korey Ouellette scoring the first goal of the game assisted by Luke Roberts. Andrew Perry scored the second goal of the game assisted by Nick Sasso. Robbie Anderson made some great saves as the Red Rangers countered with some solid rushes to the net. Harry Marshal scored the third goal of the game for the Vipers assisted by Luke Roberts. The Red Rangers countered soon afterward to score their first goal of the game. Shane Haggerty scored the 4th goal of the game assisted by Ian Worthley to make it 4-1 after two periods. The Vipers started off the third period with some aggressive rushes to the net and Jake Krajeski scored the 5th goal of the game to make it 5-1 after two minutes of play in the third period. The Vipers solid defense, aggressive offense and solid goal tending continued in game 2 of the weekend with the 6th goal of the game scored by Nick Sasso assisted by Mark Aylward. The 7th goal and final goal of the game for the Vipers was scored by Mark Aylward assisted by Korey Ouellette.
